European Network of Migrant Women

BREAKING STEREOTYPES ABOUT MIGRANT MOTHERS IN EUROPE THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

In the frames of Mums at Work project we are opening a call for very specific photographic projects:

- done by a migrant woman photographer
- telling a story about a migrant mother/mothers in Europe
- a story that breaks stereotypes about migrant mothers
- showing a strength of a mother taking care of her family in a new country and/or working.

The project could be finished or in the process of creation (femLENS can offer mentoring to finalise the project).

The project (or parts of several projects - TBD) will be exhibited in Brussels in December 2022. The exhibition location is yet to be confirmed.

This exhibition will be the final event of Mums@Work project that aims to raise awareness of the key stakeholders (businesses, public sector, local communities, general public) on the importance, and mutual benefits, of supporting social, economic and labour integration of migrant mothers in Europe.

Do you or someone you know want to contribute to the breaking down of stereotypes regarding migrant mothers via a photographic project?

Contact femLENS at info@femlens.com referencing "Open Call" in the subject of the email!
