European Network of Migrant Women joint the support to our feminist sisters in Croatia which launched a campaign for the abolition of prostitution. Croatia has one of the most rigid European regulations with harmful and far-reaching consequences for women in prostitution and victims of human trafficking. Although all international documents recognize the link between prostitution and human trafficking, Croatia still has the Act adopted as far back as 1978, which contains a provision that punishes women in prostitution and exempts from liability men who buy sexual acts.
