On 13 June 2023, the European Network of Migrant Women made a submission to the European Commission for the EU Talent Pool initiative. In our submission we emphasised the need to address the increasing labour shortage in the EU by utilising the skills and expertise of third-country national women through legal pathways, specifically in sectors like medicine, research, IT, and technology, while highlighting the employment challenges faced by these women, including lack of awareness, difficulty in reaching employers, unharmonised qualification recognition, and limited information access.
