European Network of Migrant Women

In June 2023, the European Parliament will be voting two important texts for women’s rights: the Directive on combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence and the Initiative Report on Prostitution. The European Network of Migrant Women has been advocating for the inclusion of dispositions on the Equality Model in these texts.

With the campaign #FreeFromProstitution, European-wide platforms, grassroot organisations, feminist activists, experts and survivors of prostitution gather in Brussels for a full day of engagement with the European Parliament, where we will be advocating for a Europe free from Prostitution and any kind of sexual exploitation.

On 22 May 2023 and with this campaign we send the message of the absolute necessity of listening to the survivors of prostitution, in their overwhelming majority women and girls, who have a lived experience of the misery, violence and human rights violations present in the prostitution system. Participants will have the chance to attend the online  “Intersecting Discriminations in the System of Prostitution” conference.

We invite everyone to share and disseminate this important campaign and to join us in the fight for a Europe free from prostitution.
