European Network of Migrant Women

ENoMW's Submission to the Call for Evidence : Comprehensive approach to mental health

On 15 February 2023, the European Network of Migrant Women made a submission to the European Commission for their future communication on a comprehensive approach to mental health. In our submission we emphasised the forms of violence and discrimination that have particularly harmful and lasting impact on women’s mental health : exploitation in prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation, reproductive exploitation of women in surrogacy, sexual violence, forced marriage and other ‘honour’ based crimes, coercive control from partners, family and community members, racist and ethnic discrimination and violence, sexual and racist objectification, impact of war and conflict and discriminations against women with disabilities, girls and young women, elderly women and pregnant women and mothers. You can read our full submission below.
