Draw the Line Against Violence against Women and Girls is a project led by our member AWSA-Be Ψ¬Ω…ΨΉΩŠΨ© ΨͺΨΆΨ§Ω…Ω† Ψ§Ω„Ω…Ψ±Ψ£Ψ© Ψ§Ω„ΨΉΨ±Ψ¨ΩŠΨ© Arab Women's Solidarity Association and our Network, that aims to denounce all forms of male violence against women and girls.

Based one-on-one interviews with the different members of our Network, in which they highlighted one particular form of violence that affects the migrant women and girls coming to their organisation, talented artist Hanane khaldouni artiste created powerful, touching drawings representing all the forms of violence that constitute the continuum of violence against women and girls. To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we are holding a very special event in Brussels!

It will consist of:

πŸ”Έ An exhibit
πŸ”Έ A roundtable on migrant women rights with experts and activists
πŸ”Έ A presentation of the toolkit "Draw the line against violence against women and girls"
πŸ”Έ An artistic performance by WORLD WIDE WOMEN .

Who are the WORLD WIDE WOMEN? Following a creative expression workshop led by the company Transe-en-Danse at the Reception Center for Asylum Seekers of the Red Cross in Jambes (Belgium) from October 21 to 30, a group of women residents of the center will share with you what they have on their hearts. By dancing, singing, slamming, in any language or in silence, they will tell you who they are, with their body and their heart, while allowing you to imagine what it means to be a woman in exile.
