Submission to the UNSRVAWG’S

The European Network of Migrant Women has submitted a detailed report to the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls as part of the consultation on the human rights implications of surrogacy. Our submission presents a strong feminist position opposing all forms of surrogacy – commercial and so-called “altruistic” – as a practice that commodifies women’s bodies, exploits structural inequalities, and constitutes violence against women and girls. Drawing on a human rights framework and centring the voices of migrant and marginalised women, the report calls for urgent international action to end surrogacy and protect the dignity of all women and girls.
