ENoMW Response to Council of Europe Draft Recommendation on Accountability for Tech-Facilitated Violence Against Women and Girls

ENoMW has submitted proposed amendments to the Council of Europe’s Draft Recommendation of the Committee of Ministers on Accountability for Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women and Girls. The submission is supplemented by an explanatory memorandum which explains the rationale behind the amendments the ENoMW has proposed. These amendments, grounded in ENoMW’s women-led and survivor-centred approach, aim to address systemic impunity for online sexual exploitation and ensure alignment with binding European, EU, and international legal frameworks, including the ECHR, the Istanbul and Lanzarote Conventions, CEDAW General Recommendations 33 and 38, the Digital Services Act, the AI Act, and other key instruments.
