European Network of Migrant Women

Best Practice Principles of Assistance for Female Migrant Victims of Trafficking for Sexual Exploitation

European Network of Migrant Women is delighted we have completed the ASSIST project funded by AMIF fund and coordinated by the Immigrant Council of Ireland, in which the country partners from Germany (SOLWODI), Scotland (JustRight), Spain (SURT) and Italy (BeFree), for two years, developed a specialised assistance programme and methodology for migrant women trafficked for exploitation in prostitution Europe.

The project was concluded with a final conference, ASSISTING TRAFFICKED WOMEN, held online due to COVID19, in which the project partners presented the best practice on assisting trafficked migrant women and the principles for their implementation, along with invited speakers from the European Commission, treaty bodies of the CEDAW and Istanbul Conventions, OSCE/ODIHR and the former EU Anti-Trafficking Coordinator.

Along with the final report published by the Immigrant Council of Ireland (https://www.immigrantcouncil.ie/news/immigrant-council-calls-gender-specific-legal-housing-and-psychological-supports-survivors-sex), we have published the summary guide of Best Practice Principles of ASSIST
